A Parcel of Rogues

A Parcel of Rogues are old friends who got together some 5 years go to perform the music they love the best. Since then, the group has performed for formal dances, Celtic music festivals, New York and Boston high society and concert venues of all shapes and sizes including a biker bar in Queens! Calum Pasqua, Glenfiddich fiddle champion; Dan Houghton, virtuoso piper and Susie Petrov are joined by guests, James Gray (piano & accordeon) and Reinmar Seidler (Cello) together creating a sound that the Boston Herald described as having a ”mighty muscularity.“

Represents Local Hero

Local Hero

Local Hero are Susie Petrov, piano; Christopher Layer, wooden flutes, bagpipes; Norb Spencer, accordeon and Paul Woodiel, fiddle. Their innovative arrangements pique the ear and challenge the dancer both to listen and to dance. Today, Local Hero provides music and dance instruction for your authentic Scottish wedding ceilidh ("kay-lee"), reception, dance function or any other type of social gathering you can think of right here in the USA. Country dance groups have been inspired by Local Hero’s music since their first Hogmanay Ball in 1988.
